Receiving Your Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid sends financial aid award notification out for the upcoming school year typically the beginning of March for students who have completed the FAFSA without errors or have been awarded scholarships for the Office of Admissions.

You can view your financial aid status as well as your financial aid award letter in StuInfo. Incoming freshman undergraduate students will receive one paper letter mailed to their permanent mailing address.

Your financial aid will be applied to your MSU Student Account at various times. Some aid will be applied just before bills are created and some will be applied 10 days prior to the start of the semester (typically federal aid).

If you have financial aid left over after your MSU bill is paid you will receive a refund a week before the semester begins.
