Transcripts may be ordered online, in person, by fax or mail. To order transcripts online, you must fill out a Transcript Request. When filling out a transcript request, you will have the option to have the transcript sent physically or electronically. The request must include the name, address, and email address (for Electronic Transcripts) of the recipient. If you order an Electronic Transcript on the Office of the Registrar's web site, you will receive an email notice when the transcript notice has been sent to the recipient and again when the transcript has been viewed. Michigan State University does not charge a fee for ordering a transcript.

Mail and fax orders must include a completed Transcript Request Mail-in Form:

East Lansing, MI 48824-2603

Fax: (517) 432-1649.

If a transcript has been sent electronically, an email with a secure access code will be sent to the recipient email address you provide. The recipient, using the secure access code, will be able to view your transcript in a PDF format securely on the Office of the Registrar's website.  Please notify the recipient that you requested electronic delivery and he/she should expect an email from rotran@msu.edu.

Michigan State University transcript requests are processed within one to three business days.

For more information regarding transcripts, contact the Office of the Registrar.
